Short Bio

Downcutting Streams is a project created by me in 2019.

This idea was in my head for years. But the process started one autumn, when the raw version of the first song was created.

With the flow, my dream of a long play album started to feel realistic enough to continue the work. First in Poland, where I come from, then in Hungary, where I currently live.

The main goal was to create colorful but not completely saturated music, as close to everyday life as possible.

Inspired by moral dilemmas I see in the world, as I fancy myself a good observer, I wrote the lyrics which, if you look closer, you can recall your own situations you’ve had, have or will face.

The music was created as a spiral. Main stream is a piano complemented by guitar, colored by the flute, boosted by bass and deepened by concert toms.

That’s how the debut album “Entering the valley” was created. The name is according to the start of the stream flow in nature. From the very dark ground opening the corridor which gets wider and wider. The deeper we go, the more light we can see.

Interpretation of my intention with music message sent to the world can be literal as a flowing melody stream eroding the earth. Or metaphorical, as a flowing melody stream, as an impulse going through our brain eroding deeper and deeper into our emotions.

“Sung with a heartfelt meaning and with an intricately mesmerizing style that could shock all senses awake, this is a noteworthy effort indeed.

Llewelyn Screen – A&R Factory

“Downcutting Streams ventures out to blend haunting and hopeful qualities, for a uniquely soulful yet again disjointed progression, which aptly reinforces the sense of reality and presence of the artist’s intended purpose within original music.”

Rebecca Cullen – Stereo Stickman

” …while in this case we are faced with a proposal, careful not to neglect any detail to propose a track that wins and convinces”
